I'm Him: Lamar Morinia

David Davies

Born and bred in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Lamar "Lamarvelous" Morinia wasted no time making his mark on the basketball court, suiting up for Montana State University-Northern from 2000 to 2004. There, he solidified his status as an All-American, dominating the Frontier Conference.

In 2005, Lamar took his talents overseas, embarking on a stellar professional career in Germany and Poland. Success has been his faithful companion, whether he's stacking up individual accolades or leading his teams to championships. In 2007, he orchestrated his squad to a league title, and earned the league's Most Valuable Player award.

Off the hardwood, Lamar strikes the perfect balance of a dedicated father, teacher and a semi-pro baller. He made waves at the TBT in 2023, earning national recognition as the oldest player in the million-dollar tournament. And when he's not hustling on the court, you'll find Lamar soaking in the serenity of long beach walks or immersing himself in his favorite video games.
